There is no fear in love; perfect love drives out all fear. So then, love has not been made perfect in anyone who is afraid, because fear has to do with punishment.
1 John 4:18

There's so much to say about love, and even at times, against it. May it be platonic or romantic, it will always be beautiful. Love is also powerful - it can either create or destroy. It should always fuel us to do more, to be at our best. It is more than enough, but it should never be abused as well.

I was looking through my Palawan photos earlier, then I remembered this specific verse from one of the sessions during the YFC ICON. In the same manner, I'm guilty of (over) using love as a reason for staying in the community (and/or continuing this specific organizational work). Love for the people in this community, love for the community, and love for God. But then again, what is love without genuine action? What is love without the desire to do much more? What is love without any support from faith and hope? Love fuels the mission, but what if over rationalize things? Would you be able to sustain this love?

If everything (and everyone) fails, would you still choose to love?
