He must increase, I must decrease. John 3:30
Walking through the halls and the field of SHS earlier was nostalgic for me. Although I did not graduate from said school, it reminded me a lot of good memories. Happy memories filled longing for the people included in those. Seeing those sisters leading the camp, young as they are, made me really smile. Visiting the camp brought me back to the reason why I am serving in this program - seeing high school students step up for Him. It is never about the people I'm with, it's about being happy in serving Him. Though I am preparing to move on with life, I believe that the Lord would take me to greater heights this year in my service - wherever He chooses to send me.
I choose to love others as He loves me. More of Him, and less of me. It will be a year of humility.

How would describe a moment like this? Could capture how genuine these emotions are? This is why I keep coming back to the mission, to my service, and most specifically, my program. I may fail at many things, but each time I fall, I keep running back. I don't know why, I just do. Serving during the OLOPSC retreat was both a reminder and an affirmation for me. Being there reminded me of the time I was serving in DPS, no holding back and going all out. Growing in the mission in good and bad times. Sure, it was not an easy task and I get hurt, but it was worth it. The retreat reminded me how fragile high school students are. I may be serving in HSB, but I guess I've lost my touch with my members. Despite of these things, I was affirmed of the mission that I have. I find peace and joy in serving these high school students; I am praying that I grow more in love and in spirit through this service.

Where to?
Where is God leading you?
This guide question from our household earlier struck me. Constantly, I've been praying for God's leading whether it be in academics, service, or personal life. The question above, however, was not an easy one. Prayers for His will on certain aspects of my life have escalated lately-as manifested on my twitter statuses. I believe that He wants me to go where I am needed, and not where I want to be. It's easy to say that, but it's difficult to do. His plans are clear, but I'm having a hard timing to see it. I'm torn between a deep sense of familiarity and going beyond what I know. Sooner or later, His leading will be clear. My heart is excited to journey with Him.

On Discernment
Discernment. Google would define this word as the ability to judge well, and or, the keenness of insight and judgment. I had to look up the word, hoping that it would help me. Unfortunately, it did not. The YFC community taught me that discernment goes beyond our own judgment-it is actually listening to God's message and His plans for you. It's the time when you pray and reflect before making a decision (on where God is leading you to).
Just a week ago, I was listening to kuya Sol during our (HSB + Campus) Moderators' Summit. His session focused on exciting everyone for the mission that lies ahead-for our empowerment. I enjoyed his talk, but what struck me was this message: malinaw naman ang plano ni Lord, baka ikaw lang ang nagpapalabo. During the reflection, I realized how God blessed me in high school based. From the iyakin participant then to the grateful (but still iyakin) youth head writing this entry. I experienced everything in HSB, through Him. I prayed for more guidance, on where should I go next. At the end of the talk, kuya Sol showed a clip. To cut the long story short, it tries (which is in line with the talk) to tell us that we should stop looking and waiting for signs, we should grab the opportunity (and be a blessing).
A confused heart. I know what I want, but would God want that for me? Just a few days ago may prayer was answered. Well, is this a sign? It's different from what I've been praying for more than a year, and it did caught me off guard. I need to surround myself with good people, to consider everything, and to be prayerful. More importantly, I should be faithful to His promise.
Possibilities are infinite, so how could there be just one right choice to a decision?

The Stand: YFC NorthBCon 2012
How do I even begin this entry? It's been weeks since our NorthBCon, and until now I can't find the words to explain how I truly feel. I guess it's simply because the whole experience is not about me serving, it's about Him working through the whole team. AFG, indeed <3
